HOW NESTLE INCREASED THEIR MARKET SHARE ?

Almost all products of Nestle contains sugar. They remove fat from their products and put sugar in it to make it tasty. But taste is not only the target of Nestle they go beyond it. They are making their customer addicted to their product by using sugar in every product

Research show that sugar is 8 times addictive than cocaine. A research was conducted on rats by feeding them cocaine and sugar water. Rats choose to have sugar water instead of cocaine. Its not just Nestle but many big companies involved in this and they are doing it openly. They are trying to create fake heath conscious with their tagline and marketing manipulation.

More you eat, More you will buy. Sugar and carbohydrates are cheapest source of energy but most addictive. This addiction will make you buy more hence resulting increase in the revenue of Nestle Market Share.

Vishen Lakhiani on Nestle

Vishen Lakhiani talks about the importance of starting the day with a healthy breakfast. But like the rest of the world, Vishen grew up thinking certain foods that had healthy labels marked on them were actually good for you. But when he examined the nutrition facts on the packaging, they in fact contained too much sugar. “The Food Industry Is Lying To You About Health & Nutrition – Here’s Why”, Vishen Lakhiani talks about the misconceptions the food industry has been doing for years. By placing inaccurate labels on healthy foods that are actually filled with sugar, this is why people continue to gain weight because sugar is designed to make you hungry.

NESTLE FALSE PROMISES

INDIA – Indian Supreme Court revived  an old lawsuit against European consumer goods giant Nestle SA on the grounds of false labeling, misleading advertising, and unfair trade practices, Indian media reported. The case was first brought up in 2015 by the government of India for unfair practices and false labeling of Nestle’s Maggi instant products.

HONG KONG – Nestle the giant food company violated the advertising code of conduct according to WHO promising they had sell infant milk which is close to breast milk.

Prof George Kent of the University of Hawaii wrote that describing a product as “closer to breastmilk … is not the same as saying it is close to breastmilk. New York is closer than New Jersey to Paris, but that does not mean New York is close to Paris.” source THE GUARDIAN.

CALIFORNIA AND PAKISTAN – Few people know it, but Nestle is actually the world’s largest producer of bottled water. California was suffering from drought which Nestle was still continuing the bottle water operation in California. Nestle CEO Tim Brown said: During drought incident In fact, if I could increase [water bottling operations], I would.”

In the small Pakistani community of Bhati Dilwan, former Village was suffering from water scarcity and filthy water because Nestle was pumping water from land depriving locals of potable water.

POSITIVE MOVE BY NESTLE

Most Nestle product contains added sugar which they promote them as healthy.

NESTLE said We’ll continue to reduce sugar in our foods and beverages as quickly as possible. Some people claim that we aren’t moving fast enough, but we need to get the process right. Food should be both nutritious and delicious.

We’ve committed to reducing added sugars in our products by 5% by 2020, to help people live healthier lives.

CONCLUSION

NESTLE is messed! First they make false promises and then they take stand on their product saying we are trying to make it more delicious. Then suddenly start reducing sugar content. I am totally against consuming sugar, but this move can make revenue loss for company. As more and more people are getting heath conscious many big investor are dumping their shares.

Another giant company   COCO-COLA  make a soft drink with is in real a sugar drink. And why the billionaire Warren Buffet love it so much. Almost in every interview he speak of drinking more coke and promoting it. He knows people are addicted to it. As long as we are addicted to it Market share of Coca Cola will increase.

Famous quote by a monk  ‘Wrong is wrong, even if everyone is doing it. Right is right, even if no one is doing it.
